Frequently asked questions - GlucoWatch

Some users are experiencing installation problems. Here are the steps to follow to use GlucoWatch.

Foreword: GlucoWatch is an application I'm developing in my spare time, and I'm not a user of Abbott sensors. I have no connection with Abbott. Your support is essential to keep the application up to date, develop new features, and keep the application available.
Your donations are greatly appreciated, and are essential to me. Thank you so much!https://paypal.me/denispoulpy

Why has the app name changed?

GlucoWatch is the new name of my app dedicated to monitoring glucose sensor data. This name change was made at the request of an existing trademark holder to respect their rights.

The "Purchased" or "Download" icon is grayed out.

Make sure you download the application directly from the App Store on your Apple Watch, and not from your iPhone.

I can't find the application

The GlucoWatch app is for Apple Watch only, so you won't find it on your phone. If you can't find it on my Apple Watch either, try downloading it directly from the App Store on your Apple Watch, not from your iPhone.

LibreLinkUp connection

To use GlucoWatch, you need to connect your LibreView account (used on your LibreLink or Libre3 application) to a LibreLinkUp tracking account.

Follow the instructions below to make the connection.

In the LibreLink (or Libre3) application, open the left-hand side menu and tap on "Connected applications". You'll probably have to scroll down to find the link.

Then click on "Connect" next to the second link: LibreLinkUp. Connection to LibreView does not work.

Click on "Add a connection", and then enter your first and last name and email, and tap on "Add". The email can be the same as your LibreView account (recommended).

Click on "Done". Then download the LibreLinkUp app to your iPhone and open it.

In LibreLinkUp, click on Log in and insert your LibreView credentials.

Once connected, you will receive a modal inviting you to accept glucose data sharing. Click Accept.

You can now use GlucoWatch with your login details.

For more information on how LibreLinkUp works go to https://librelinkup.com.

The application says my credentials are incorrect

This message means that LibreLinkUp has received your credentials, but they are incorrect. No other case will indicate this message. You can try logging out of LibreLinkUp and retry your credentials. You can also use your iPhone to enter your login details when you click on the email or password fields on your Apple Watch. Be careful with upper and lower case.

The complications on the dial don't update

The blood sugar on the dials sometimes indeed does not refresh as it should. This is an Apple limitation on the number of refreshes that can be performed per day.

The complications on the dial display nothing, or only dashes

.

Please try removing the complication from all your dials, then removing the GlucoWatch app from your Apple Watch, and finally restarting your Apple Watch. Once done, reinstall the app (from your Apple Watch's App Store directly, not from your iPhone); then log into GlucoWatch, and finally add the complications to the dials.

Data doesn't sync to Apple Health, even though the option is enabled; or the option unchecks as soon as I leave the screen

This is a known issue on my part for some, and I apologize. You can click on the button at the top of the “Apple Health” screen to force synchronization.
